How Much Does IV Therapy Cost in Southern California?

The Hydro Drip Bar Team 7 min read August 2026

"How much does IV therapy cost?" is one of the most common questions we get from first-time clients at The Hydro Drip Bar. The honest answer: it depends on the drip type, the clinic you choose, and whether you use a membership plan. But we can give you a very specific answer for our four Southern California locations in Temecula, Mira Mesa (San Diego), National City, and Escondido.

This guide covers everything — per-session prices, what drives cost differences, how membership plans compare, and how IV therapy stacks up against oral supplements on a cost-per-result basis. No vague ranges, just real numbers.

IV Therapy Prices at The Hydro Drip Bar

Our pricing is straightforward: two tiers for IV drips, a separate menu for vitamin shots, and membership plans that lower the cost-per-session for regular clients. All prices are the same across our Temecula, Mira Mesa, National City, and Escondido locations.

Membership Plans: The Smartest Way to Do IV Therapy

If you plan to do IV therapy more than once, a membership plan is the most cost-effective path. Here's how the three tiers work:

Plan Monthly Cost What's Included Effective Per-Session Rate
Essential$149/mo1 IV drip/month$149 vs. $199+ walk-in
Premier ★ Most Popular$199/mo1 IV drip + 1 IV push/monthStrong value for dual-treatment months
Ultimate$279/mo2 IV drips/month~$140/drip — lowest per-session cost

All memberships are month-to-month — no long-term contracts. You can pause, change tiers, or cancel anytime. For clients doing a series (such as a glutathione brightening series or a monthly wellness routine), the Ultimate plan at $279 for two drips is the best dollar-per-session value at any of our Southern California locations.

Visit our Membership page for full details on what's included in each tier.

What Factors Affect IV Therapy Cost?

Not all IV drips are priced the same — even within the same clinic. Here's what actually drives the price difference:

Ingredient Cost

Premium drips like Gluta Max and Myers Cocktail are priced higher because they contain pharmaceutical-grade glutathione, magnesium, B-complex vitamins, and other nutrients that cost more per unit than the simpler electrolyte and vitamin C blends in standard drips. The price reflects ingredient cost, not padding.

IV vs. Push Delivery

Some clinics charge differently for IV bags (slow drip over 45–60 minutes) versus IV pushes (fast bolus over 5–10 minutes). At The Hydro Drip Bar, the Premier Membership includes both — giving you one full-bag drip and one push session for $199 per month.

Add-Ons

Many clients add a vitamin shot to their IV session for additional benefit. A B12 shot at $20 or a Biotin shot at $25 adds minimal cost while extending the benefit window of the IV nutrients — particularly popular for clients combining the Gluta Max drip with a Biotin shot for skin and hair goals.

Clinic Type and Setting

Mobile IV services typically charge a travel premium on top of the drip price. Concierge or hotel-visit IV therapy in San Diego can run $350–$500+ for a standard drip. At The Hydro Drip Bar, you come to us and pay the flat posted price — no travel surcharges, no surprise fees.

National average for IV therapy ranges from $100 to $500+ per session, with most walk-in clinics in California pricing standard drips between $150 and $299. At $199–$299 for a full-bag session administered by a licensed RN under physician oversight, The Hydro Drip Bar sits at the quality end of the market without the mobile-service premium.

Is IV Therapy Cost-Effective Compared to Oral Supplements?

This is a fair question — especially when you can buy a bottle of B12 capsules for $15. The comparison, however, ignores bioavailability.

Oral supplements are absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract. Depending on the nutrient, gut health, and formulation, absorption rates range from roughly 20% to 50%. IV delivery bypasses the gut entirely — nutrients enter your bloodstream directly at close to 100% bioavailability. For glutathione specifically, oral bioavailability is so limited that most clinical researchers consider oral glutathione supplements ineffective for achieving the plasma concentrations needed to drive skin brightening or significant antioxidant effects (see our post on how glutathione evens skin tone for the full mechanism).

For clients stacking multiple oral supplements — B12, vitamin C, magnesium, zinc, B-complex, glutathione — the monthly supplement spend can easily reach $80–$150, with inconsistent absorption. A single IV session at $199 delivers all of those nutrients at full bioavailability in one 45-minute visit. For many people, the math on IV therapy is more favorable than it first appears.

Medical Weight Loss: GLP-1 Program Pricing

If you're also considering our GLP-1 medical weight loss program, here's the pricing structure:

  • Tirzepatide (Mounjaro-class): from $299/month — includes 4 weekly injections, medical oversight by Dr. Guillermo Castillo, and ongoing dosage guidance. New client introductory rate: $99 for the first month.
  • Retatrutide (triple receptor agonist): from $399/month — the newest class of GLP-1/GIP/glucagon receptor agonist, available at all four locations.

The GLP-1 program pairs naturally with IV therapy — many clients use our Immune Booster or Energy Boost drip monthly to offset the fatigue and nausea that can accompany early GLP-1 use. See our post on managing GLP-1 side effects with IV therapy for the protocol details.
